Marketing and comms, product and service, agency and in-house. I’ve worked every side of this industry, bringing my knowledge of each to whatever mode I’m in.

I’ve worn a lot of hats, from designer, front-end engineer and accessibility specialist to Creative Director and Senior Group Product Manager. Individual contributor and leader, depending on what the moment needed.

Deep, repeated exposure to commerce and retail: product discovery, loyalty, in-store retail tech, merchant payments. Just Eat, IKEA, M&S, Nike, Ticketmaster, NatWest.

I specialise in cutting-edge technology and practice, seeing where it’s going before most people do, and turning that into something valuable now.

I’ve taken products from zero to one, then scaled and optimised. That teaches you the gap between visionary and pragmatic. I’ve learned to hold both.

Interaction design is my core discipline. I care as much about how something works and behaves as I do about how it looks.

I lead the way I design. Curious first, rigorous second. I structure teams and define how they work, then get out of the way. I’d rather give them room to be wrong and learn why than watch over their shoulder and limit their growth.

// Who should hire me

Someone building a product team that needs both taste and rigor. Companies scaling a zero-to-one bet, or fixing one that’s drifted. Retail and commerce especially - loyalty, discovery, payments, merchant tech. I’ve sat inside Just Eat, IKEA, M&S, Nike, Ticketmaster, NatWest, so I know the terrain.

Good for a permanent leadership role - Head of Product, Head of Design, VP - or a fractional/interim engagement brought in to unstick something specific. I’ve done both, and know how to operate in either mode.
