Nike Air Force 1 25th Anniversary

My favourite sneaker, the Nike Air Force 1 is 25 years old this year.

Like the Adidas Superstar or “Shell Toe” which is 35 years old, the Air Force 1 is synonymous with HipHop and BBoy culture.

Nike held an Air Force 1 25th Anniversary party a few weeks back in New York featuring performances by Rakim, KRS1, Kanye West and others.

Nike also got some Itailan shoemakers to make some ultra ultra premium “Super Lux” Air Force 1s in top quality materials. I’m unsure as to the quantity and price of these, but I hear it’s going to be around the $5000 mark and only available to a select few, not that these people will actually have to pay for them or anything.

The brown snakeskin ones are SICK.

The standard issue Air Force 1 has undergone an overhaul for the 25th anniversary too as this video shows.
